With this year being completely free of the pandemic, seeing family this year and mixing without worry will surely bring back the Christmas spirit we’ve all been longing for the past couple of years.
That said, the Christmas spirit isn’t complete without spirits, for Christmas. Here are 6 Christmas cocktails to try heading into the new year.
Baileys Flat White Martini
Ingredients:
- 45ml Baileys irish cream liqueur
- 30ml vodka
- Double shot of freshly brewed espresso
- Coffee beans for garnish
Method:
To make this tasty cocktail, add all of the ingredients above to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and then strain the contents into a chilled martini glass. Perfect for those who love their coffee and alcohol at Christmas time.
Gingerbread and Coffee Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of single cream
- 2 tablespoons of vodka
- 2 tablespoons gingerbread syrup
- 1 tablespoon of kalhua coffee liqueur
Method:
Mix all liquid ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 20 seconds. Cover the rim of the glass in golder caster sugar (coating the rim first in some kind of spirit will help the sugar stick) and strain the cocktail into a serving glass of your choice.
Tia Flat White Russian

- 20ml vodka
- 20ml Tia Maria
- 1 shot of espresso
- Steamed milk

Pour the alcoholic ingredients into a cocktail shaker and mix, then pour the contents into a glass. Pour the espresso shot into the drink, then top with steamed milk. This cocktail is deliciously warming, perfect for those cold winter nights.

Haute and Steamy
Ingredients:
- 180ml freshly brewed coffee
- 10ml of chocolate vodka
- Coconut whipped cream (or regular whipped cream) to top your cocktail
Method:
Pour the chocolate vodka into a glass, add your freshly bewed coffee on top and finally top with your whipped cream.
Irish Coffee
No list like this would be complete without the Irish Coffee. This delicious beverage is simple, but yet the perfect blend for for a feel good Christmas drink.
Ingredients:
- 120ml fresh brewed coffee
- 40ml irish whiskey
- Approx 2 tablespoons double cream
- 1-2 teaspoons brown sugar
Method:
Place your brown sugar into a glass or mug before pouring over your coffee. Add your whiskey (Jamesons seems appropriate) and give it a stir to combine. Lightly whip the double cream and add it on top to add the final touch.
