We’re fast approaching the final weekend before Christmas. And while most reports reveal that people are spending less in the shops this year, it will be still be one of the busiest weekends your high street will have seen during 2018. So, expect more passers-by to tempt in with your treats, in desperate need of a caffeine fix to get them through the next set of shops. As we write this, there are four days until your coffee machine gets a day off at last. Except, of course, for those workhorse espresso machines in pubs and restaurants… We’ve said before that there’s a huge opportunity for selling good quality coffee in pubs – with the right coffee machine and the right beans, and a little bit of know-how – and any pubs serving Christmas Day meals are likely to see an increased demand for a post-meal coffee.
The rest of your machines – in mobile coffee vans and coffee stalls, cafés and teashops, hair salons and spas – will finally see some downtime, before the whole crazy business kicks off again with Boxing Day sales. Some of you, of course, will keep their doors firmly closed to the public, and who could blame you?
We don’t. At Nationwide Coffee, we’ll be taking a coffee break of our own.
Our business hours over Christmas are:
Christmas Eve: Open as usual
Christmas Day: Closed
Boxing Day: Closed
Thursday 27 Dec: Open as usual
Friday 28 Dec: Open as usual
New Year's Eve: Open as usual
New Year's Day: Closed
Back to bustling business as usual from Wednesday 2nd January.
Good luck this weekend and Monday, and have a fantastic Christmas, wherever you are, whatever you do, and whomever you spend it with.
